What I Didn't Blog in 2009
I started and finished my student teaching in 2009. I taught 12th grade English at a local high school. There were many trying moments, and my overall opinion of student teaching is that it is such an artificial, yet necessary, step in the process of becoming a teacher. I practiced and learned a lot, but the time was not my own. It was someone else's classroom. I can't wait to have my own.
The students in 5th period English gave me a card on my last day. (Click to enlarge.) I thought it was very sweet of them to do this.
There was a party in February to celebrate both Friday the 13th and Valentine's Day. I spent a portion of the evening sitting in the middle of the front yard, after falling flat on my face. Drewby was the only witness to the actual fall, but I waved hello & goodbye to many guests from my spot on the lawn. I've fallen many, many times, but this is the first time I distinctly remember hitting my face off of the ground. I didn't have a bruise or a grass stain the next morning. So there's that.
My brother got married in early March.
That's about it. Plenty more should be happening in the rest of 2009, and I'm sure to blog most of it. If I keep this up. I'm still not completely convinced that I'm back for good.

A Realization...
This is a realization that, if I realized it at this time last year, would have been immediately blogged in excruciating detail, but, at this time, is only going to be one sentence, because I'm now subscribing to the no-TMI rule on the blog.
My dog, Maddie, is a cockblock.
